Sinopsis Buku :
The body need nutrients in order to carry out its essential processes. Since the human body cannot generate nutrients, it must get them from food. Energy production, environmental detection and response, movement, waste excretion, breathing, growth, and reproduction all depend on nutrients. The body requires six different groups of nutrients in order to function and remain generally healthy. These include water, vitamins, minerals, proteins, lipids, and carbs.
The nutrients in meals that give energy in the form of carbs, proteins, and fats are referred to as macronutrients because they are required in significant quantities to produce energy in the form of calories and because they serve as building blocks for bodily tissues. Meanwhile, micronutrients are defined as substances that exist in much smaller amounts, such as vitamins and minerals. The body receives no energy from either of them. The primary building blocks of bone are only a few minerals that are essential to the body’s structure, such as calcium and phosphorus. But all vitamins and minerals function as regulators, helping the body do all the things it needs to to keep itself alive, such digesting food, contracting muscles, eliminating waste, forming new tissue, healing wounds, and getting energy from macronutrients.
