Sinopsis Buku :
Malaria is a disease generally characterized by high fever which can go up and down periodically accompanied by one or more other symptoms such as chills, pale face, headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, muscle aches or aches. This disease is caused by the malaria parasite and is transmitted through the bite of the Anopheles sp. A definitive diagnosis of malaria must be established by microscopic examination of the blood smear or by a rapid diagnostic test/RDT. In endemic areas, respondents usually know that this disease is accompanied by an enlarged spleen (splenomegaly).(Cohee & Laufer, 2017).
Malaria causes substantial morbidity and mortality in many resource-constrained areas of the world. In addition, malaria is a threat to travelers to endemic areas and should be considered in the evaluation of any traveler returning from a malaria-endemic area with a fever. Malaria infection can quickly develop into a severe illness that can be fatal.
